How to measure your seat width

  1. Sit upright on a firm, flat chair.
  2. Measure across the widest point of your hips or thighs, in centimetres.
  3. Choose a listed seat width slightly wider than that measurement. For example, a 36 cm measurement points to a 38 cm seat, and a 40 cm measurement points to a 42 cm seat or the nearest listed width.
  4. Compare the overall width of the model with the narrowest doorway you use. Overall width is wider than seat width.
